Who We Are
Shaping young minds through sustainability, creativity, and innovation.

About Us
Project SOW 2.0 (School on Wheels) is a dynamic, hands-on learning initiative that introduces children to sustainability, creativity, and basic engineering through DIY wooden electric vehicle kits. This project is independently led and designed by Krish Bindal, a 12th-grade student and one of the original co-founders of Project SOW. Project SOW 2.0 builds on the spirit of the original idea but takes it in a new direction, one that is completely focused on empowering children through experiential learning. Each kit is designed by Krish himself, carefully balancing depth and accessibility. It encourages children to explore how things work while giving them the satisfaction of building something real, functional, and meaningful with their own hands. At some workshops, we also bring along a real, student-built EV car, a product of the original Project SOW. When children ride in this full-sized car, they connect the dots: "Three students built this. I'm building my own version. One day, I can build something even bigger." This experience fuels their passion and makes the learning real and inspiring. Project SOW 2.0 is more than a kit. It’s a platform to learn by doing, to dream boldly, and to see how play can lead to real-world impact.
More Than Just Building: The Three Core Themes We Focus On
Underprivileged children lack access to practical STEM experiences. While theory exists in textbooks, they rarely build or experiment. I designed eco-friendly DIY EV car kits using reused parts and wooden pieces. These kits sparked creativity and gave students confidence. Seeing their own creations made them believe, “If I can do it, so can they.”
There’s a gap in clean energy awareness among students and local groups. I with my 2 friends built a single-seater EV using 85% sustainable materials, named “School on Wheels.” It became a mobile STEM lab for hands-on workshops. Children learned about renewable energy and got to drive the EV. This gave them a real-world connection to green technologies.
Our education system lacks experimental learning in engineering and design. My workshops guide students from idea to execution, through failures and breakthroughs. They learn how to think critically and innovate. Making or driving their own kit gives them direct experience. This empowers them to believe in their ideas and abilities.

About Me
Krish Bindal, the founder and brain behind Project SOW 2.0, is a 12th-grade student from The Shri Ram School, Moulsari. A young innovator, Krish has always been driven by curiosity, compassion, and a love for building things that make the world a little better. He was the co-founder and a member of the WeKAN team initiated 4 years ago, where he and his 2 friends built a fully working EV car. Taking this to a greater level, Krish started Project SOW 2.0 in Grade 11, combining his passion for technology with his belief in accessible, sustainable education. From designing the first prototype of the EV car kit to coordinating workshops and leading school partnerships, Krish has been involved in every step of the journey. His goal is simple: To make learning meaningful, sustainable, and fun.
Building from Scratch
What began as an idea sketched on paper is now a fully functional kit built with love, care, and countless hours of prototyping. From designing each component to testing it with students and partnering with schools, every part of this project has been designed ground-up.
Our kits are not off-the-shelf they are custom-developed to teach core STEM concepts, while being intuitive and engaging. We’ve worked with local manufacturers, educators, and artists to make something beautiful, durable, and impactful.

Our Mission
To empower the next generation through experiential learning that is hands-on, eco-friendly, and filled with joy. We aim to create accessible STEM opportunities that ignite curiosity in every child regardless of their background. We envision a world where children are not just passive learners but active creators, learning to question, experiment, and innovate from a young age.
Our Vision
To become a leading platform for sustainability-driven learning kits in India and beyond reaching schools, communities, and children everywhere. We believe in the power of children to reimagine the future, and we’re here to help them build it one wooden EV car at a time.
